Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Structural Graduate Engineer to join our team in our Roanoke, VA office. We have a highly experienced and dynamic team dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients.

• Design building systems, structural elements and connections under the supervision of a professional engineer by performing engineering calculations/analysis.
• Design structures of a variety of materials including steel, concrete, wood and masonry.
• Analyze existing structures for new uses and design repairs/reinforcement where required for existing conditions.
• Coordinate with other disciplines including architectural, mechanical and civil regarding the project’s design.
• Provide construction administration assistance in responses to requests.
• Perform site visits, inspections and review of shop drawings.
• Prepare detailed design calculations and construction drawings.

• Strong all‑around theoretical knowledge of structural engineering principles.
• Ability to apply structural engineering principles to design of various elements.
• Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.) a must.

• EIT/FE certification or the ability to obtain certification within one year preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in civil/structural engineering from an ABET accredited college.

• Master's degree in structural engineering.
