We are seeking a Safety Coordinator to join our team in Botetourt County, Virginia. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring workplace safety and compliance with regulations, contributing to our mission of delivering high-quality products while maintaining a safe work environment.

• Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations.
• Ensures that safety programs are in compliance with all local, state, federal laws, and regulations.
• Assists in regulatory compliance with OSHA and other regulatory agencies to achieve company safety objectives
• Responsible for maintaining accurate OSHA 300 logs and reports.
• Maintain accurate records of safety incidents and prepare reports for management review.
• Ensures the coordination and training of managers and employees of work site safety and practices, fire prevention, and correct handling techniques for chemicals, toxins, equipment, and other material.
• Worker's compensation experience is a needed.
• Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety within the organization.
• Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor compliance with workers  compensation laws and assist in claims management.
• Stay updated on industry best practices related to occupational health and safety.

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health, Safety Management, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on safety coordination.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, EPA regulations, and workers' compensation laws.
• Certification in First Aid and CPR is required.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to train employees effectively.
• Proficient in report writing and data analysis related to safety metrics.
• Familiarity with EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) practices is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills for root cause analysis.

Job Type:
Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
