Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an X-Ray Technologist with Epic experience and OR skills for a weekday shift serving diverse patient populations.
Responsibilities- Work settings include adult acute care, adult outpatient, bedside/portable procedures, and pediatric outpatient
- Shift is Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with no on-call requirements
- Patient populations include adolescents, infants, adults, and geriatrics
- Procedures involve abdomen/GI, upper and lower extremities, spine, and pelvis imaging
- Utilizes Siemens equipment (strongly preferred), Big and Mini C-arm for various ortho and pain procedures, and portable imaging
- May be required to float to other radiology or diagnostic imaging areas as needed
- Epic charting system experience is required
- Performs diagnostic imaging exams on a wide range of anatomical areas including abdomen, extremities, spine, and pelvis
- Operates Big and Mini C-arm equipment for orthopedic, pain injections, and special procedures, sending images to PACS
- May cover patients from Employee Health, Wound Care, Occupational Health, and Inpatient Rehab areas
- Portable imaging includes post-operative and general diagnostic exams as needed
- All RTO (requested time off) must be included at the time of application
- First-time travelers are accepted
- Local candidates are not accepted; radius rule applies according to agency policy
- Current BLS certification is required
- Virginia state license required; any active state license in hand is accepted, and VA will grant emergency authorization while permanent license processes
- Epic EMR experience is required
- Operating Room (OR) experience is required
- Experience with Siemens radiology equipment is strongly preferred
- Two references needed for consideration
- Copy of Driver’s License and SSN required for consideration
