SAP CO Consultant – Senior Consultant

The SAP CO Senior Consultant will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting Controlling (CO) solutions within SAP S/4

HANA environments. This role demands deep functional expertise across Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Product Costing, Internal Orders, and Profitability Analysis (CO-PA). The consultant will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring solutions align with financial goals, cost control strategies, and reporting requirements. The individual is also expected to lead functional workshops, drive configuration design, and provide thought leadership in cost management best practices.

• Lead end-to-end SAP CO module implementations including design, configuration, testing, and deployment.
• Work closely with Finance (FI) and Production Planning (PP) teams to ensure seamless integration of financial and cost data.
• Configure and support Cost Center Accounting (CCA), Profit Center Accounting (PCA), Internal Orders, and Activity-Based Costing (ABC).
• Design and implement Product Costing (Standard, Actual Costing, WIP, Variance Analysis) and Cost Object Controlling for manufacturing environments.
• Implement and optimize Profitability Analysis (CO-PA) – both Account-Based and Costing-Based.
• Define and maintain planning and budgeting functionalities using SAP CO Planning Tools or BPC integration.
• Collaborate with ABAP developers to design custom reports, user exits, and enhancements.
• Perform detailed testing, validation, and reconciliation of financial and cost data between CO and FI modules.
• Lead user training, UAT, and post-go-live support sessions.
• Stay up to date with S/4
  
  HANA Finance innovations, including Universal Journal and Fiori-based CO apps.

• Strong knowledge of CO Submodules:
  Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Product Costing, CO-PA, and Activity-Based Costing.
• Integration experience with FI, MM, SD, PP, and Asset Accounting (AA) modules.
• Hands-on experience with S/4
  
  HANA Controlling configuration and migration from ECC.
• Experience with SAP Fiori Apps for Finance/Controlling and real-time reporting in Universal Journal.
• Strong understanding of period-end closing, cost allocations, assessments, and settlements.
• Familiarity with Report Painter/Writer, COPA Reports, and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) integration is an advantage.
• Exposure to data migration and testing using LSMW or Migration Cockpit.

SAP CO configuration and support (CCA, PCA, CO-PA, Product Costing). S/4

HANA Finance and Universal Journal experience. Integration knowledge with FI, MM, and PP modules.

SAP BPC or SAC Planning integration experience. Exposure to public cloud S/4

HANA Finance implementations. Experience with Fiori Apps and embedded analytics.

SAP Certified Application Associate – Management Accounting (CO). Preferred Tools: SAP S/4

HANA, Fiori, SAP Analytics Cloud, Migration Cockpit, and Solution Manager.
