Order Management and Materials Coordinator

Type: Contract – 7 months (potential for extension)

We’re seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Order Management and Materials Coordinator to support production operations by improving order flow, reducing open order age and past‑due items, and minimizing customer escalations. This role will collaborate closely with the operations manager, supervisors, and line servers to ensure efficient communication and material coordination between planning and customer service teams.

• Act as a primary point of contact between planning and customer service for order coordination.
• Manage order escalations, cancellations, and status updates to minimize interruptions.
• Identify efficiencies in batching like products and assist in assembly bench prioritization.
• Communicate material-related issues to planning, including missing or incorrect inventory and quality concerns.
• Support cycle counts, BOM corrections, and inventory adjustments as needed.
• Partner with planners and engineering teams to resolve back flushing or material flow discrepancies.
• Participate in Gemba walks and contribute to metrics tracking related to open orders and floor activity.

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

• Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel
