Our Search Committee consists of six members, three of which are elders and three from the congregation’s makeup.  There are four men and two women on the committee.  We have conducted a congregational survey, which revealed our people need a pastor with a true shepherd’s heart, marked by compassion, humility, integrity, and a genuine love for God and his people.  They want a man who is rooted in scripture and faithful in preaching the Word, combining biblical depth with practical application.  

The ideal pastor would be spiritually mature, powerful, and morally pure, living what he preaches and maintaining accountability in both life and ministry; a leader who can inspire, train, equip, and empower others, especially elders, deacons, and ministry leaders to shepherd along side.

Wellspring is a small multi-generational ARP church located in Daleville, VA, (Botetourt County), a bedroom community near Roanoke, VA.  Wellspring has an average Sunday morning attendance of around 130 and sits on approximately 15 acres of church owned land on US Route 220 north of Roanoke.  Wellspring started as a mission and was organized on May 7, 2006, as a self sustaining church.  

The church building was completed in 2012 and sits in front of a ranch-style house we call “the church house,” which is used for offices, Sunday School, and meetings.  The church is debt-free and financially healthy.  Our proposed budget for 2026 is around $342k.  Compensation for this role, including retirement contributions and all other benefits, will be in the neighborhood of 100k.We

are seeking a pastor who is in doctrinal alignment with the Westminster Confession of Faith and the tenets of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, one who is a team player, one who is fiscally responsible in both his personal and professional life, a man filled with the Holy Spirit.
