Hospitalist APP opportunity in Lexington, Virginia. Full‑time APP (NP or PA) opportunity with the Hospitalist group at Carilion Rockbridge Community Hospital (CRBH), a critical access hospital with 3–5 admissions and discharges a day and bed capacity of 25. The practice is comprised of 2.5 FTE physicians and 3 FTE Advanced Care Practitioners. Night shift – 7 on / 7 off. Additional nocturnist compensation is provided on top of base pay.

This role includes responsibility for identifying patient health status through histories, physical exams, and diagnostic procedures; managing both chronic and acute health problems; collaborating with general surgeons, orthopedic surgeons, and other surgical subspecialties; providing team‑based pre‑ and post‑operative care to adult patients; and delivering high‑quality care in a rural setting supported by an expanding telemedicine service (including critical care and neurology).

Education: Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.

Experience: 0 years (entry‑level).

Licensure: Current state‑licensed Nurse Practitioner (LNP), DEA license, and Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required.
AHA BLS‑HCP: Certification required.
Advanced Life Support: Preferred. Eligible for prescriptive authority in accordance with state regulations and authorized by the Virginia Boards of Nursing and Medicine.

• Able to work collaboratively with physicians and other health‑care providers.

• Good written and oral communication skills.

• Computer literacy required for electronic medical records and automated computer systems.
