Full time APP ( NP OR PA) opportunity with Carilion Family Medicine Radford. The APP will assist physicians and other nursing personnel in the delivery of primary health care and patient care. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Assess, plan and provide care. Perform patient examinations, compile appropriate patient information and documentation. Review patient reports and make appropriate recommendations and refill medications. Hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 am- 5:00 pm.

As such, PAs and NPs who have worked within Family and Community Medicine, for at least 1 year, will be scheduled to precept PA and NP students from our partnering programs.

Education: Graduate of an Accredited Nurse Practitioner program.

Experience: 0

Licensure/Certification: Current state Licensed Nurse Practitioner (LNP), DEA license and Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required. AHA BLS-HCP certification required. Advanced Life Support certification preferred. Eligible for prescriptive authority in accordance with State regulations and as authorized by the Virginia Boards of Nursing and Medicine.

Minimum qualifications: Able to work collaboratively with physicians and other health care providers. Demonstrates good written and oral communication skills. Computer literacy required for automated computer systems, including electronic medical records.
