Join Bio Life Plasma Services as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and play a vital role in supporting our plasma donation center operations. This position offers a sign‑on bonus and a dynamic work environment focused on patient safety and customer service.
About Bio Life Plasma ServicesEvery day, the donors you meet will motivate you. The high-quality plasma you collect will become life‑changing medicines. You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and work as a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations.
About the roleYou will determine donor eligibility and manage donor adverse events, review laboratory test results, and notify donors of unsuitable test results. Your responsibilities include:
- Determining donor eligibility, including proper management of informed consent, AIDS education, confidential self‑exclusion, medical history interview, and acceptance requirements
- Performing physical examinations, blood testing, and reviewing Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE)
- Evaluating donor reactions, following SOPs for medical emergencies and coordinating donor transport to emergency care facilities
- Consulting with the Center Physician or Medical Affairs on unacceptable findings and medical or technical issues concerning donor safety and eligibility
- Supporting Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees, and managing employee incidents per occupational health guidance
- Acting as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and supporting investigations related to pandemic threats
- High school diploma or equivalent, including graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements
- Licensed or certified LPN or LVN in the state of assignment
- Current CPR and AED certification
- State‑required basic IV therapy training
- Completion of FDA‑approved training for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist
- At least two years in a clinical or hospital setting

Locations & Compensation- Location:
Roanoke, VA - Hourly wage range: $23.85 – $32.79
