Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care/Telemetry Unit night shift position requiring VA or compact RN licensure and strong Epic charting skills.
Responsibilities- Work in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) within a hospital setting
- Patient ratio is currently 1 nurse to 5 patients, with a goal to reach 1:4
- Assignments may range from 14 to 52 weeks, with flexible contract terms available
- Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts (18:45-07:15), with 4x12 available upon request
- Floating within corresponding acuity levels is expected
- Unit assignment determined based on facility need after clinical evaluation
- Epic EMR experience required
- Duties include providing care to PCU/telemetry patients with varying acuity
- Orientation and unit placement are based on clinical evaluation upon arrival
- Travelers are part of a collaborative care team
- Two professional references must be provided for consideration
- A copy of driver’s license and Social Security card must be submitted for consideration
- Active RN license in Virginia or Compact state
- Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Recent experience working in a PCU or Telemetry setting
- Prior experience with Epic EMR system required
- Ability to float within the hospital as needed
