Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) assignment requiring night shifts, Epic experience, and VA or compact licensure.
Responsibilities- Work in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) within a hospital setting
- Patient ratio currently 1:5 with a goal of 1:4
- Requires caring for intermediate acuity patients typical of PCU
- Floating within acuity is required as needed
- Assignment length ranges from 14 to 26 weeks, based on candidate's preference
- Night shift schedule consisting of three 12-hour shifts per week (18:45 to 7:15)
- Unit placement will be determined after a clinical evaluation
- EPIC charting experience required
- Responsibilities include providing specialized care to progressive care patients and adapting to various units as needed
- Must be willing to float to other units as dictated by patient acuity and facility needs
- Assignment start date is flexible based on candidate availability
- Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for onboarding
- Active RN license for VA or compact state required
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Recent PCU nursing experience strongly preferred
- Two professional references needed for consideration
