Job Description
American Traveler seeks a skilled RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position with night shifts and required experience with Epic.
Responsibilities- Work in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) within a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule with 3x12 or 4x12 hour options (18:45–07:15)
- Patient ratios are currently 1:5, with a goal of 1:4
- Float to other units as needed based on patient acuity
- Assignment length options range from 13 to 26 weeks, depending on candidate preference
- Unit assignment determined after clinical evaluation
- Uses Epic as the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Shifts are 12 hours overnight, with flexible assignment lengths available
- Travelers are expected to adapt to different PCU settings as assigned
- Supportive team environment with collaborative care responsibilities
- First time travelers are accepted
- Active VA or compact RN license required
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications
- Prior experience with Epic EMR required
- Two professional references required for consideration
