Our client is seeking a highly experienced and diligent Aircraft Quality Assurance Manager to lead their quality control and assurance programs in East London . This senior role is responsible for establishing and maintaining robust quality management systems across all maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) operations. You will ensure compliance with all national and international aviation regulations, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and foster a strong quality culture throughout the organization.
This is a critical leadership position for an individual dedicated to upholding the highest standards of safety and operational excellence in the aviation sector .
- Develop, implement, and manage the company's Quality Management System (QMS) for aviation MRO operations.
- Conduct internal and external audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., SACAA, EASA, FAA).
- Oversee the process for investigating quality deviations, non-conformances, and customer complaints, implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Lead and mentor the Quality Assurance team, promoting a culture of vigilance and excellence.
- Interface with regulatory authorities during audits and inspections.
- Monitor key quality metrics and provide regular reports to senior management on quality performance and risks.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Aviation Management, or a related field;
Master's degree preferred. - Minimum of 10 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control within the aviation MRO industry.
- In-depth knowledge of aviation regulations, airworthiness standards, and quality management principles (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100).
- Proven experience in developing and managing a comprehensive QMS.
- Strong leadership, auditing, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder management.
