Security Site Supervisor

Key Responsibilities- Supervises Security Officers, Lead Officers, and other company personnel assigned to one or more client sites; ensures post orders are followed, rounds are completed, reports are filed, and authorities are notified in emergencies.
- Coaches and disciplines personnel as appropriate; meets with employees and documents coaching or disciplinary actions.
- Trains Security Officers and other personnel; reviews post orders and assignment details with subordinates.
- Assists with payroll submission and personnel information to the company.
- Works with company management to ensure adequate coverage of all posts and positions.
- Prepares, files, and submits various reports as required.
- Inspects posts as scheduled and meets with subordinates to outline tasks and responsibilities.
- Meets with client representatives to assure security requirements are met and provide quality customer service.
- Performs supervisory duties such as interviewing, orienting, training, planning, directing work, coaching, appraising performance, rewarding, disciplining, addressing complaints, resolving problems, and making hiring or termination recommendations.
- May perform duties of a Security Officer in accordance with post orders and company policy.
High School Diploma or GED plus 2 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience that meets the essential functions of the role. Minimum 2 years of experience in retail preferred.
Required Competencies- May need to hold and continue to meet state, county, or municipal license requirements for Security Officers.
- Knowledge of security operations with emphasis on patrol, inspection, and response services.
- Knowledge of supervisory practices and procedures.
- Ability to provide positive direction and motivate performance.
- Understanding of security and safety devices and controls.
- Ability to learn quickly and follow instructions in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.
- Ability to track and maintain schedule assignments.
- Ability to be an effective team member.
- Ability to maintain professional composure in unusual circumstances.

- Ability to adapt to various sites and changes in post procedures.
- Ability to write routine correspondence, logs, and reports.

- Maintains composure when dealing with authorities, executives, clients, staff and the public, often under urgent and high‑pressure situations.
- May be exposed to stressful situations involving individuals in or approaching unauthorized areas.
- Must meet company standards for background checks, reference checks, drug testing, behavioral survey, and any mandatory licensing requirements.
- Directs and disciplines staff in a positive manner.
- Might be required to work overtime without advance notice.
- Requires ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
- Basic computer usage, keyboarding, and operation controls.
- Clear communication (seeing, hearing, speaking, writing) for incident observation, reporting, and directing others.
- Frequent sitting, standing, and walking; may involve climbing stairs and uneven terrain.
- Occasional reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling.
- Frequent lifting up to 10 lbs, occasionally up to 25 lbs.
- Good vision; close and distance; ability to adjust focus.
- Regular use of a vehicle for performance of duties.
- Occasional stressful and physical activity.
- Exposure to inclement weather; may require protective gear and safety devices.
- Handling sensitive and confidential information.
