Trades ​/ Skilled Labor Technician, Maintenance Technician ​/ Mechanic

Overview

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Technician to perform preventive maintenance, diagnose, and repair equipment. The role involves working with a fleet that includes Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools, and other equipment. Some locations may have large-scale power generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas related equipment. We value a safety-focused environment and opportunities for career growth.

• Perform preventive maintenance, advanced diagnostics, and complex repairs on equipment in a safe and effective manner to avoid downtime.
• Build skills by working on a variety of makes, models, and equipment.
• Develop new skills for a career track in service or operation management.
• Collaborate with a team in a safety-focused environment.

• High school diploma or GED required; some trade school or equivalent training desired.
• 5+ years of Technician experience with similar diesel equipment and/or heavy equipment or specialty lines equipment (large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC, or Oil & Gas equipment) strongly preferred.

  ability to provide tools of the trade, advanced knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems and troubleshooting, and flexibility with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors as required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to comply with applicable laws.
