About the Role
Our client is seeking a qualified and proactive Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Technician to join their airport operations team in East London . This role is essential for maintaining the operational readiness and safety of all ground support equipment, including baggage tugs, belt loaders, aircraft stairs, and tow tractors. You will perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs to ensure all equipment functions effectively and safely, supporting efficient aircraft turnaround times.

- Perform scheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a wide range of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) .
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues using appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure equipment reliability.
- Ensure all GSE operates safely and meets regulatory and company standards.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance, repairs, and inspections performed.
- Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions and breakdowns to minimize operational impact.
- Proven experience as a GSE Technician , heavy equipment mechanic, or automotive technician with relevant experience.
- Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical diagnostic skills.
- Ability to read and interpret service manuals , technical drawings, and schematics.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and workshop equipment.
- A valid driver's license and a commitment to safety protocols.
- Ability to work effectively in a physically demanding, outdoor, and fast-paced airport environment in East London .
