Commercial Installation Technician

Our client is seeking a skilled and reliable Commercial Installation Technician to join their operations team in East London. This role is crucial for ensuring the successful installation and setup of various commercial equipment and systems, from point-of-sale systems to specialized machinery. You will be responsible for interpreting blueprints, performing precise installations, and ensuring all work meets high-quality standards and client expectations.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on professional with excellent technical skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to customer satisfaction, working efficiently on-site to support businesses in the Eastern Cape.

• Install, assemble, and configure commercial equipment and systems according to technical specifications and blueprints.
• Perform necessary modifications or adjustments to ensure proper fit and function of installed equipment.
• Conduct testing and calibration of newly installed systems to ensure they meet performance standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve installation‑related issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
• Collaborate with project managers and clients to coordinate installation schedules and minimize disruption.
• Ensure work sites are kept clean, organized, and safe throughout the installation process.

• Proven experience as a Commercial Installation Technician or in a related installation or construction role.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with various tools and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and installation manuals.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and a methodical approach to tasks.
• Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work professionally on client premises.
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required for travel to job sites in and around East London.
