The Order Checker is primarily responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all customer orders leaving the warehouse by inspecting and verifying completed orders, documenting discrepancies, and ensuring corrections before loading for delivery. This position may also review and inspect return routes upon arrival, documenting any discrepancies and making necessary changes before finalizing the check‑in process.
Duties & Responsibilities- Verify the accuracy of customer orders by inspecting built pallets, ensuring proper build, stability, and secure transportation, and reviewing pick tickets to confirm product type and quantity.
- Inspect returning route delivery trucks for condition, perform blind counts to compare reported quantities, and coordinate corrections with drivers before final load‑in.
- Document discrepancies, changes, and updates to customer orders on the appropriate reports and inform relevant personnel.
- Account for all returned product and deposit items on the trucks, ensuring accurate classification.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the work area, perform pallet building as directed by management.
- Attention to detail; basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply).
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, repetitive environment while lifting up to 75 lbs.
- Team collaboration and organization of efficient warehouse processes.
- Adaptability to changing work areas and meeting minimum expectations.
- Reading and interpreting computer screen instructions.
- Initiative and proactive value‑add mindset.
- Flexibility with schedules and hours as business demands change.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Up to 12 months of relevant work experience.
PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) Certification;
Pallet Jack.
Warehouse environment.
