We are excited to offer a competitive sign-on bonus tailored to your experience level and qualifications, paid out in two increments (30% upon hire and the balance after 6 months of employment).

• Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement Only:
  • 2-3 Years
    
    Experience:
    
    $1,500 (Base Bonus) + $250 (Tanker Endorsement) = $1,750 Total (Paid 30%, $525 Upon Hire) / $1,225 (Balance Paid at 6 months).
  • 6-10 Years
    
    Experience:
    
    $2,500 (Base Bonus) + $500 (Tanker Endorsement) = $3,000 Total (Paid 30%, $900 Upon Hire) / $2,100 (Balance Paid at 6 months).
  • 11+ Years
    
    Experience:
    
    $3,500 (Base Bonus) + $1,000 (Tanker Endorsement) = $4,500 Total (Paid 30%, $1,350 Upon Hire) / $3,150 (Balance Paid at 6 months).
• Class A CDL with Tanker & Hazmat Endorsement:
  • 2-3 Years
    
    Experience:
    
    $1,500 (Base Bonus) + $250 (Tanker Endorsement) + $250 (Haz Mat Endorsement) = $2,000 Total (Paid 30%, $600 Upon Hire) / $1,400 (Balance Paid at 6 months).
  • 6-10 Years
    
    Experience:
    
    $2,500 (Base Bonus) + $500 (Tanker Endorsement) + $500 (Haz Mat Endorsement) = $3,500 Total (Paid 30%, $1,050 Upon Hire) / $2,450 (Balance Paid at 6 months).
  • 11+ Years
    
    Experience:
    
    $3,500 (Base Bonus) + $1,000 (Tanker Endorsement) + $500 (Haz Mat Endorsement) = $5,000 Total (Paid 30%, $1,500 Upon Hire) / $3,500 (Balance Paid at 6 months).

Position Overview:

The Transport Driver is responsible for the "on time" and safe delivery of products for Ergon Associated Asphalt Partners while maintaining a professional appearance and attitude. Transport Drivers perform a vital function in the service of our customers by transporting products efficiently while complying with all applicable federal and state transportation and safety guidelines.

Company Interfaces:

• Transport Drivers report to the Terminal or Transportation Manager in their assigned location.
• The position interfaces with other employees within the terminals, company leadership, customers, vendors, and regulatory agency controls.

Transport Driver II

Job Responsibilities:

• Driver tractor-trailer (tanker) combination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations, to transport and deliver asphalt products over short and long distances.
• Use and/or operate equipment, including but not limited to ladders, loading arms, control valves, metal hoses, landing gear, air lines, cords, and wheel pins.
• Maneuver truck onto loading and unloading position, following signals from terminal operators as needed.
• Drive truck to weigh station before and after product loading and along route to document weight.
• Drive truck into position to load at filling rack.
• Open valves or start pumps to fill trailer.
• Read gauges or meters and record quantity loaded.
• Record amount delivered and issue tickets to customers.
• conform to Federal and State driving regulations, including driver logs.
• Inspect truck before and after trips. Submit a report indicating truck condition.
• Read "Bill of Lading" to determine assignment.
• Responsible for re-fueling truck, checking oil, and all fluids.
• Maintain truck interior.
• Able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time in a variety of weather conditions.
• Manual dexterity; ability to reach; able to bend and move with agility.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50-70 pounds.
• Able to climb up and down tank ladders as needed.
• Able to drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
• Well-groomed professional appearance.

Transport Driver II

Job Qualifications:

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License with Tanker Endorsement.
• 2-3 years of Class A driving experience.
• Solid work history.
• Excellent driving record.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Customer-service focused.
• Able to understand weigh scales and basic measurements.
• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
