Full-time secondary special education RISE teaching position. Applicants must hold appropriate MN special education ABS or DCD teaching license.
Program DescriptionThe Robbinsdale Transition Center (RTC) is a special education program which serves young adults, ages 18-21, who receive special education services, and need support in transition areas.
The RISE program provides a structured educational environment for students who need a functional curriculum and are identified for placement based on their individual needs in the area of Developmental Cognitive Disability and/or other disabilities determined by the school team. RISE students often require a smaller, structured, predictable setting with a high staff-to-student ratio. RISE students will primarily receive instruction in the center based classroom, and have opportunities to generalize their learned skills in the mainstream classroom as well as community environments.
