Job Title:
Surgical Technologist/CST

Tasks and Responsibilities
:
As a Surgical Technologist/Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with SQ Med Staffing, you will play a vital role in assisting surgical teams and ensuring the smooth operation of operating rooms. Your primary responsibilities will include:

Preparing and sterilizing surgical instruments and equipment.

Assisting surgical teams with gowning and gloving.

Setting up the operating room with sterile drapes and supplies.

Anticipating the surgeon's needs during procedures.

Maintaining a sterile field throughout surgeries.

Counting and documenting surgical instruments and supplies.

Transporting patients to and from the operating room.

Collaborating with the surgical team to ensure patient safety.

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.

CST certification or eligibility for CST exam.

Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and equipment.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Willingness to adhere to strict aseptic techniques.

Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift/move patients.

Certification Requirements:

Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) is preferred, but we may consider candidates who are eligible for the CST exam. BLS certification required at time of hire- NMHC Standard
