Travel Ultrasound Technologist​/Sonographer - Sonography​/Ultrasound

American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Sonographer for an Echocardiology clinic, requiring RDCS or RCS certification and 1+ years of cardiac sonography experience.

• RDCS or RCS certification required
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an accredited Echocardiography program
• Knowledge of aseptic technique and EKG rhythms
• Experience with IV insertion for administration of ultrasound imaging enhancement agents and bubble studies
• Proficiency with electronic medical records
• License required if applicable

• Outpatient clinic setting within an Echocardiology unit at the Heart and Vascular Institute
• Uses Epic EMR
• Day shift, 8-hour shifts with start times of 7:00 AM, 7:30 AM, or 8:00 AM
• No weekends or on‑call requirements
• May be required to work at other Heart and Vascular Institute sites on occasion
• Work closely with cardiologists in the assessment and treatment of cardiac diseases
• Perform diagnostic ultrasound testing including m-mode, 2D, 3D, spectral Doppler, color Doppler, tissue Doppler imaging, strain imaging, and bubble studies
• Conduct contrast-enhanced transthoracic echocardiograms and exercise/pharmacologic stress echocardiograms
• Provide imaging support for structural heart procedures
• Assist cardiologists with 2D and 3D transesophageal echocardiograms
• Dress code requires khaki scrubs
• Accepts local candidates within a 35-mile radius at a reduced rate
