The Registered Staff Nurse (RN) provides holistic care to patients and their families. The role focuses on independent, collaborative, and delegated nursing functions in accordance with standards and competencies specific to the assigned service area. The scope of practice may include caring for neonates, infants, children, young adults, adults, and older adults across the lifespan. The RN follows the Standards of Nursing Practice, including:
Assessment Nursing diagnosis Outcome identification Planning Implementation Evaluation The RN is responsible for developing and revising the patient’s plan of care, coordinating care across disciplines, and delegating activities to other patient care providers as appropriate. The RN participates in shared accountability and decision-making related to nursing practice. Through active participation in professional practice and the application of personal leadership skills, the RN helps define, implement, and continuously improve practice standards, the environment of care, and the delivery of exceptional patient care.
Weekend Requirement:
Possibly every other or every third weekend
