Job Description

This is a Part‑Time job. Starting Pay: $16.68/hr or based on relevant experience. Color Mixer Specialists tint and mix paint to customer specification. They work closely with wholesale and retail customers to determine their needs, answer questions about Sherwin‑Williams products, and recommend the right solutions. Specialists stay up‑to‑date with product features and maintain the high quality and visual standards of the products and store.

They achieve excellent customer service while consistently meeting the store’s sales goals. Job duties involve contact with customers, access to cash and other payment methods, electronic equipment, personal information, store merchandise and other items of value.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare customers' paint orders quickly and accurately
  • Tint and mix products to customer specifications
  • Prepare drawdowns for submittal to customers
  • Clean, fill, and repair equipment as needed
  • Maintain precise work order files and formulas
  • Pull appropriate products from the sales floor or warehouse
  • Stock shelves and set up displays
  • Clean store equipment
  • Load/unload delivery trucks
  • Assist in making deliveries as needed
  • Assist customers in person and over the phone by determining needs and presenting appropriate products and services
  • Process sales transactions accurately and consistently with policies and procedures
  • Maintain in‑stock and presentable condition of assigned areas
  • Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options
  • Comply with inventory control procedures
  • Suggest ways to improve sales
Minimum Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without needing sponsorship for work visa status now or in the future
  • Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion
  • Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • If internal to Sherwin‑Williams, must have received at least a “meets expectations” (3) rating on the most recent performance appraisal
  • If internal to Sherwin‑Williams, must have completed all HR Cloud eLearning courses required for the current position
Preferred Qualifications
  • Valid, unrestricted Driver’s License
  • High School diploma or GED
  • At least one year of experience in a delivery, retail, or customer service position
  • Experience selling paint and paint‑related products
  • Experience operating tinting and mixing equipment
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish
