Associate Program Director
Compass Connections is a non‑profit organization dedicated to supporting families and children. We are seeking an experienced Associate Program Director to lead program delivery and staff supervision.
Location and SalaryCorpus Christi, TX | $80,000–$85,000 per year
Academic and Certification RequirementsAcademic: Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, sociology, or a related behavioral science. Graduate degree preferred and clinical licensure desirable.
Certifications: First aid, CPR, Emergency Behavior Intervention.
Work ExperienceFour (4) years of related experience with progressive supervision in a social services or childcare agency.
Responsibilities- Meet all federal, state, and regulatory guidelines applicable to this position.
- Monitor program services, facilities, staff, and client safety.
- Develop proactive plans of action for assigned service areas.
- Coordinate budget management and liaison with department heads.
- Provide timely feedback, support, and coaching to personnel.
- Develop and maintain staff schedules to ensure coverage and appropriate ratios.
- Review documentation for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
- Ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory training requirements.
- Facilitate child assessments, admissions, and crisis interventions as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional and ethical standards.
- Respond to emergencies, participate in safety drills, and implement evacuation protocols.
- Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Supervise programming, treatment, and discharge of children’s placement and release.
- Document agency policies, procedures, contracts, and regulatory standards.
- Travel across facility interior and exterior areas.
- Meet reporting deadlines and requirements.
- Support foster parent recruitment and program development.
- Pass a pre‑employment drug screen and random drug screens during employment.
- Provide proof of work eligibility status upon request.
- Pass a pre‑employment and biennial criminal background checks.
- Demonstrate the ability to respond sensitively and competently to cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
- Collaborate with staff, service providers, and professionals.
- Provide crisis intervention per training.
- Maintain emotional control, professional composure, and computer literacy.
- Work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Know all Compass Connections policies and procedures.
