Bookkeeper

Position: Bookkeeper (Permanent)
We are looking for a Bookkeeper to join our Client in their expanding and well-regarded Finance Team.

What You’ll Be Doing:

* Record and reconcile daily financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments

* Prepare, review, and submit VAT returns

* Maintain the general ledger and ensure all entries are complete, accurate, and up to date

* Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies promptly

* Support month-end processes

* Liaise with accountants where needed to support workflow

What We’re Looking For:

* Proven experience as a bookkeeper within an accountancy practice

* Strong knowledge of VAT compliance and experience preparing VAT returns

* Knowledge of CIS compliance.

* Proficiency in cloud-based accounting software (Xero, Quick Books Online, Sage, Dext or equivalent)

* Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices
