We are supporting a global client looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Assistant to join their growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys transactional finance and wants to build a long-term career within a supportive finance function.
As a successful Accounts Payable & Payroll Assistant you'll take ownership of the day-to-day Accounts Payable and Payroll processes, ensuring invoices are processed accurately, supplier and employee payments are made on time, and financial records remain clean and well maintained.

Key responsibilities of the role:- Process purchase invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain clean and fully reconciled purchase ledgers, ensuring there are no unexplained aged or unallocated items.
- Monitor and minimise invoice processing errors and missed invoices.
- Ensure supplier payments are made on time and in accordance with agreed payment terms.
- Take ownership of day-to-day payroll processing.
- Ensure payroll and expenses are accurately recorded and reconciled to the general ledger.
- Work collaboratively with the Accounts Receivable, Management Accounting and Finance teams.
- Previous experience in an Accounts Payable role with hands-on responsibility for invoice processing and ledger maintenance.
- Experience independently reconciling and maintaining purchase ledgers.
- Exposure to payroll processing, or a strong Accounts Payable background with a willingness to develop payroll knowledge.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when handling high-volume transactional work.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Good systems knowledge, with experience of Microsoft Dynamics
