Barnardo's Rochdale and Bury services (these services are SENDIASS and Short breaks) are looking for a friendly, organised and professional Administrator to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting children, young people and families by providing a welcoming first point of contact and high-quality administrative support for our services and its users.
As the first point of contact for visitors, parents, carers and partner agencies, you will help create a positive and inclusive experience for everyone accessing our services.
This role 16.5 hours a week (days to be confirmed with successful candidate). Annual Leave and Bank holiday leave pro rata.
Admin roles include but are not limited to:
- Financial management to include; ordering service materials, allocation of grants, checking payroll reports, overseeing the profit and loss reports to highlight any anomolies.
- Organise and monitor our service recording file rooms, ensuring clarity and order in our files across all areas of our service,
- Strong understanding of GDPR to support the management of our documents.
- Data management and compliance oversight
- Supporting the Team manager wiht statistics for contract reports
- Able to respond and offer help to enquiries either via phone or email.
- Health & Safety tasks related to our building/office.
- An understanding that within admin roles you are privy to confidential information and maintaining confidentiality at all times when required is essential.
- Administrative support to the team.
- Using a wide variety of IT applications.
- Proven office administration skills, including minute taking.
- Experience of service user records administration.
We are therefore looking for someone with:
- Ability to give good attention to detail.
- Ability to work to deadlines.
- Good numeracy skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills. Strong written and verbal English communication.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Extensive experience with IT packages such as Outlook, Word, Excel.
- Excellent team working skills.
