The Supply Register is seeking passionate and skilled English Teachers to work on a supply basis across secondary schools in the Rochdale area. We proudly partner with a number of reputable Multi-Academy Trusts, providing consistent opportunities for high-quality teachers looking for day-to-day, short-term, and long-term placements.

This role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic about English Literature and Language, confident in classroom management, and committed to helping students develop strong communication and critical-thinking skills.

• Deliver engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 opportunities available depending on the school)
• Plan, prepare and deliver lessons in line with curriculum requirements
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively
• Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
• Work collaboratively with school staff and follow school policies
• Adapt teaching strategies to suit varied learning needs

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching English in a UK secondary school
• Strong subject knowledge in English Literature & Language
• Excellent communication and classroom-management skills
• An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
• Flexibility, reliability, and a proactive approach to teaching
