The Governors of Newlands School are seeking to appoint a Class Teacher from September 2026 to June 2027 who:
- proactive and vigilant in safeguarding pupils
- experienced in working within a team to ensure best outcomes for children
- has personal and social skills to communicate clearly and sensitively, establishing and sustaining good relationships with parents, pupils and other staff
- is looking for a school where personal professional development is promoted, supported and celebrated
- is an excellent and reflective classroom practitioner
- is caring, committed and highly motivated
- has high expectations of all pupils’ achievement and behaviour
- has the knowledge, enthusiasm and ability to inspire and motivate children to learn
- has a warm and friendly personality
- has an excellent understanding of children with severe and complex needs and how to plan for and support their learning and engagement
Successful applicant will have experience across Primary and/or SEND settings.

Appointment to this post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring and background check.
The ability to converse at ease with customers and service users and provide advice in accurate spoken English is an essential requirement of this post.
