We're working with a welcoming secondary school in Rochdale that's looking to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant on a permanent basis. This is an opportunity to become part of a school where teamwork matters, students are encouraged to achieve their best, and every member of staff plays an important role.
As an HLTA, you'll work alongside teachers to deliver engaging lessons, provide targeted support to individuals and small groups, and confidently lead learning when required. You'll be trusted to use your initiative, build positive relationships with students and make a real difference to their progress.
This is a varied role that will suit someone who enjoys getting stuck in, thrives in a busy school environment and genuinely wants to see young people succeed.
- Delivering planned learning activities to individuals, small groups and whole classes.
- Leading lessons in the absence of the class teacher where appropriate.
- Supporting students with different learning needs and helping them overcome barriers to learning.
- Working closely with teaching staff to monitor progress and adapt support where needed.
- Encouraging positive behaviour and creating an inclusive learning environment.
- Contributing to the wider life of the school and supporting extracurricular activities where appropriate.
- Has experience working within a secondary school setting.
- Builds strong relationships with young people while maintaining high expectations.
- Is confident leading learning and supporting classroom management.
- Communicates well with staff, students and parents.
- Is organised, adaptable and enjoys working as part of a team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
