About the SchoolWe are a specialist SEND school in Rochdale supporting young people aged 11‑19 with complex special educational needs, including complex autism. This role provides an exciting opportunity to develop our Engage provision and informal curriculum, helping learners acquire skills necessary for success in adult life.
About the RoleAs Provision Coordinator, you will shape and deliver a specialist offer for learners with complex autism, ensuring the curriculum is meaningful, engaging, and tailored to individual needs. You will work closely with teaching and support staff, leading and developing provision, while building strong relationships with learners, colleagues, and the wider school community.
Responsibilities- Develop and lead the Engage provision and informal curriculum for learners with complex autism.
- Lead, direct, and develop teaching and support staff within the provision.
- Inspire and motivate young people in their learning and personal development.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with learners, staff, and the wider school community.
- Support learners in preparing fully for adult life, promoting independence and life‑skills.
- A genuine passion for complex autism and the ability to make a real difference.
- Commitment and motivation to inspire young people with their learning and development.
- A demonstrable commitment to research, development, imagination, and curiosity.
- Emotional and physical resilience when working with learners who have complex needs.
- Strong team‑working and leadership skills, with the ability to direct and develop others.
- Aspiring specialist leadership qualities and a desire to make a positive, lasting impact.
- Hold the right to work in the UK.
- Have an enhanced child barred list DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply).
- Be able to provide two professional references (child‑related preferred).
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
