Are you passionate about supporting young people with additional needs? We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Secondary SEN School in Rochdale from September.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a genuine difference by supporting students with a range of special educational needs, helping them to achieve their full potential in a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support students aged 11-16 with a range of special educational needs.
Work alongside teachers to deliver engaging and accessible lessons.
Provide one-to-one and small group support tailored to individual learning needs.
Encourage students' independence, confidence, and social development.
Promote positive behaviour and help create a supportive learning environment.
Assist with personal, emotional, and academic development where required.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
Has experience working with children or young people, ideally within an SEN, education, care, or support setting.
Is patient, compassionate, and able to build positive relationships.
Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Is adaptable, resilient, and keen to learn.
Holds a Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
Has a positive attitude and a genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs.
