The Governing Body at Springside Special School are seeking to appoint 2 suitably qualified, enthusiastic and experienced individuals into the role of Teaching Assistant Level 3 (+).

The successful candidates will be working directly with pupils with complex additional educational needs, across all phases of our school;
Nursery – Year
6. Successful candidates will be expected to work across any of the Springside sites, as required.

We are seeking two enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistants Level 3+ to join our dedicated team. These permanent positions offer the opportunity to work alongside skilled and experienced colleagues in supporting our learners to engage with learning, develop independence and achieve meaningful outcomes. You will bring energy, patience and a genuine desire to help learners overcome barriers and experience success both in and beyond the classroom.

As a Teaching Assistant at Springside, you will provide high-quality support tailored to individual needs, helping to deliver engaging learning opportunities and promote communication, wellbeing and personal development. You will understand the importance of consistency and structure whilst responding sensitively and creatively to the diverse needs of our learners. Working collaboratively is central to life  will build positive relationships with learners, families, colleagues and a range of professionals to ensure that every learner receives the support they need to thrive. Applicants must possess GCSE English and Maths at grade A* - C, or GCSE level 9-4, or GCSE level 9-4 or a level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy or CSE Grade 1 in English and Maths.

Applicants must also possess a relevant NQF/QCF/RQF level 3 qualification OR a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship qualification.

The ability to converse at ease with customers and service users and provide advice in accurate spoken English is an essential requirement of this post.

Springside is a new-build special school co-located with a mainstream primary school. Informal visits to the school are warmly welcomed.
