The Role:
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing one-to-one and small-group support to students within the Nurture Unit.
- Supporting students with their learning, confidence and engagement.
- Helping students to manage emotions, behaviour and challenging situations.
- Building positive and trusting relationships with students.
- Supporting students to develop their social skills, independence and resilience.
- Assisting with classroom activities and learning tasks.
- Working closely with teachers and pastoral staff to support individual student needs.
- Helping students to successfully reintegrate into mainstream lessons where appropriate.
- Promoting positive behaviour and maintaining a calm, structured environment.
The successful candidate will be patient, approachable and resilient, with a genuine passion for helping young people overcome barriers to learning.
Experience working with children or young people in a school, pastoral, SEND, behaviour or youth-work setting would be advantageous, although candidates with relevant transferable experience will also be considered.
This role would suit someone who is looking to build a career within education, SEND or pastoral support and wants to make a real difference to students' lives.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
