Cover People are currently recruiting for an English Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Rochdale, Greater Manchester, starting immediately for the remainder of the academic year.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced English Teacher or ECT looking for a long-term, full-time position within a supportive school environment.

You will be responsible for delivering engaging and purposeful English lessons across KS3 and KS4, helping pupils develop their literacy, communication and analytical skills while making a positive impact on their academic progress.

• Deliver high-quality English lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the school's curriculum
• Monitor, assess and track pupil progress effectively
• Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment
• Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of a diverse range of learners
• Support pupils in developing their literacy, written and analytical skills
• Contribute to the wider English department and school community
• Support the academic and personal development of all learners

• QTS or equivalent UK teaching qualification
• Strong subject knowledge across KS3 & KS4 English
• Experience teaching English at secondary level
• Strong classroom and behaviour management
• A passion for English, teaching and pupil progress
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Right to work in the UK
