Our Lady & St Paul’s RC Primary School is currently seeking an Early Years Specialist Teaching Assistant Level
2. This is an exciting opportunity to join the school and the wider Trust at the beginning of a journey of transition, development and growth within the multi-academy trust.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Early Years class teacher and wider Early Years team to support the learning, development and wellbeing of children within the Early Years Foundation Stage. They will help to create a safe, nurturing, stimulating and inclusive learning environment in which every child is encouraged to flourish.
The role will include supporting the delivery of high-quality learning experiences through both adult-led activities and purposeful play, working with individuals and small groups, and helping children to develop their communication and language, early literacy and mathematics, physical development, independence, confidence and personal, social and emotional skills. The successful candidate will support the class teacher with the preparation and organisation of the learning environment, observations and assessment of children’s progress, and the implementation of appropriate interventions and individual support where required.
As an Early Years specialist, the postholder will have a strong understanding of how young children learn and develop and will help ensure that provision reflects the needs, interests and next steps of all pupils. They will work collaboratively with teachers, teaching assistants, families and other professionals and will contribute fully to the wider life of the school. The successful candidate will also be expected to promote high standards of behaviour, safeguarding and welfare and to support the distinctive Catholic ethos of Our Lady & St Paul’s.
Our mission is at the heart of everything we do:
“At Our Lady and St Paul’s, we love, we learn, we follow Christ.”
We work and play, we do our best,
We achieve with God to guide each quest.
We care, we share, we laugh, we belong,
In His love and friendship, we grow strong.
We shine, we pray, we grow and thrive,
With Jesus’ love helping us come alive.
“If I am without love, I am nothing.” 1 Corinthians 13:2
Our mission reflects our commitment to love, learning, achievement, care, belonging, faith and helping every child to grow and thrive within a supportive Catholic community
Our Mission
Our Trust Mission is simple, it is to make Christ known, making lives better for our communities, our children and young people.
Our Values -
One of Hope
Inspired by St Teresa of Calcutta, we are people of hope. We have a complete belief in the future we will build together. By offering our children, staff and schools’ opportunities to grow and flourish, we make aspiration and ambition a reality. Our people, just like St Teresa are relentless and fiercely ambitious. We will always reach for that which seems to be just out of our grasp.
One of Courage
As modelled for us by St Teresa of Calcutta, we will have the courage to do what is right. As a community, we will not shy away from making decisions that ensure our communities thrive. We will be brave in our actions. As a truly Catholic organisation this courage will be most apparent in how we collectively support the most vulnerable.
One of Innovation
St Teresa of Calcutta changed the world. Together, we will always be…
