Value Education are currently recruiting experienced and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work across welcoming secondary schools in Rochdale and the surrounding areas
.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident education professional who enjoys working with young people and wants the flexibility of supply work, with opportunities for regular bookings and longer-term placements
.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring students remain focused, engaged and on task while following pre-prepared lesson plans.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise classes across KS3 and KS4
. - Deliver pre-set lesson plans and learning activities.
- Maintain a calm, positive and productive classroom environment.
- Manage behaviour in line with school policies.
- Support students with their learning and encourage positive engagement.
- Provide feedback to teaching staff following lessons.
- Adapt quickly to different schools, subjects and year groups.
- Maintain high standards of professionalism and safeguarding.
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced working with young people, ideally within a secondary school setting
. - Confident managing a classroom independently.
- Calm, approachable and consistent when managing behaviour.
- Reliable, punctual and adaptable.
- Able to build positive relationships with students and staff.
- Passionate about supporting young people and education.
- Competitive daily rates of up to £140 per day.
- Weekly pay through PAYE or Umbrella

- Previous experience working with children or young people.
- Previous secondary school experience is desirable.
