Where will you be working? An exciting opportunity for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our growing electrical design team. This role is ideally suited to a career minded, ambitious individual who is looking for that unique opportunity to become a key member of our electrical team that forms part of our wider multidiscipline design team consisting of architectural, mechanical/HVAC & process disciplines.

Leading individual projects and working alongside other electrical team members on larger projects throughout various RIBA stages. The work is predominantly building services based, including occasional process works varying from project to project. Works consist of the following: LV distribution, small & mechanical power, UPS, earthing, lighting & emergency lighting, access control, CCTV, security, voice & data, fire alarm-detection (& VESDA) , solar PV, renewables and facilities monitoring.

Where project scope includes process elements, works occasionally consist of controls & instrumentation. All project workflows and collaboration are controlled using Autodesk Forma (previously Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)). What you'll be doing:
You will create clear scope documents and schedules that support each stage of the project. You will design LV distribution schemes using Electrical OM and Trimble Pro-Design and design lighting and emergency lighting schemes using Relux and DIALux. You will produce LV, earthing and fire alarm schematic diagrams in AutoCAD, and you will use REVIT to bring together small power, mechanical power, earthing, lighting, access control, CCTV, security, voice and data, fire alarm-detection (& VESDA), solar PV, renewables, and facilities monitoring layouts.

You will help ensure every design is accurate, coordinated, and ready for delivery. What youll bring Electrical qualification Minimum level 5 vocational qualification in electrical engineering. Design experience Minimum two years in electrical building services design. Software skills Microsoft 365, Relux, DIALux, Electrical OM, Trimble Pro-Design and AutoCAD. A working knowledge of Revit is also preferred. Technical knowledge BS7671:2018A4:2026.UPS, solar PV, renewables, and ATEX awareness.

Driving licence Full UK licence.
