Job Description:
A well‑established law firm based in Rochdale is seeking a Residential Property Fee Earner to join their property team and provide exceptional service to both existing and new clients.
About the Role:
The ideal candidate will independently manage their own caseload from instruction to completion, handling a diverse range of property transactions.
This position offers a fantastic opportunity for a residential conveyancer to enhance their experience.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a diverse residential caseload, including leasehold and freehold sales & purchases, new builds, shared ownership, remortgages, and transfers of equity.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and solicitors. Address enquiries at every stage of the transaction to ensure client service standards are met.
- Assist senior conveyancers and directors in managing their caseload.
- Prepare contract packs.
- Obtain title documents and conduct property searches.
- Review legal titles, raise enquiries and prepare client reports on title.
- Draft and prepare necessary account forms and understand client ledgers.
- Report to lenders and submit Certificates of Title.
- Prepare Land Registry applications and address requisitions.
- Prepare SDLT forms.
- Handle post‑completion matters, including responding to requisitions, managing registration, sending deeds to clients, banks, and building societies, and closing files.
- Right to work in the UK and be a UK resident.
- Previous experience managing a caseload with minimal supervision.
- Solicitor or licensed conveyancer with a minimum of three years of post‑qualification experience (experienced paralegals with a strong track record will be considered).
- Excellent communication and drafting skills.
- Strong understanding of conveyancing law and practice.
- Ability to prioritise and manage time effectively.
- Previous experience in a busy conveyancing department as a conveyancer, solicitor, paralegal, or fee earner.
- Adaptable and flexible attitude to meet the varying needs of clients and team members.
- Experience with case management systems is beneficial, though not mandatory as training will be provided.
