Senior Childcare Lawyer

Service Care Solutions is currently recruiting for a Senior Childcare Lawyer to join a well-regarded Local Authority legal team based in Manchester.This is a fully remote opportunity and is on a 6-10 month contract with potential to extend. The role is offering a competitive hourly rate off:Umbrella rate - £60 - £65 per hourPAYE (Inc Hol) - £53.28 - £57.68

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced childcare lawyer to take on a senior-level caseload while supporting the wider team on complex public law children matters.Responsibilities as a Senior Childcare Lawyer:

• Prepare and review legal documentation including applications, statements, and court bundles.
• Attend (remotely) case conferences, legal planning meetings, and strategy meetings.
• Support and mentor junior team members where appropriate.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, including the Children Act 1989 and associated statutory guidance.

About you as a Senior Childcare Lawyer:

• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload independently.
• Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or FCILEx with significant experience in Childcare law.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
