CNC Operator

Position: CNC Operator (Permanent)
Location: Heywood

Aspired Talent are currently looking for an experienced CNC Operators to join our manufacturing team in Heywood. This role is ideal for a skilled operator with a strong background in water jet or laser cutting within a metal fabrication environment.

Hours are Monday to Thursday 8am till 5pm or 7am till 4pm with an early finish on Friday.

Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC water jet cutting machines

Work with 2D CAD programming systems, specifically IGEMS

Import DXF files and prepare jobs using nesting and cutting software

Operate the machine using pure water and water with abrasive cutting methods

Ensure parts are cut accurately to specification and quality standards

Carry out routine machine checks and basic maintenance

Strictly follow Health & Safety procedures, particularly due to the high-pressure nature of the equipment

Skills & Experience Required

Minimum 2 years’ experience operating and setting CNC water jet cutting machines

Proven experience using IGEMS or similar 2D CAD/CAM software

Strong understanding of DXF files, nesting, and CNC cutting processes

High level of Health & Safety awareness (essential due to high-pressure systems)

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

Preferred Background

CNC Water Jet Operator or Laser Cutter Operator

Experience working with metal cutting environments
