MIG Welder

We’re hiring for an experienced MIG Welder to join a heavy engineering manufacturer in Rochdale.

Working on structural steelwork and combustion plant equipment used across energy, petrochemical and industrial sectors.

What’s on offer?

 * £17 - £18 p/h

* Mon – Thurs | 7:30am – 4:30pm

* Friday | 7:30am – 12:30pm

* Overtime available

* 22 days holiday + bank holidays (increasing with service up to 30)

* 6% pension after 12 months

What will you be doing as a MIG Welder?

* Heavy MIG welding on structural steel and box section

* Welding fillet and butt welds to EN1090 Class 2 standards

* Working primarily with mild steel and stainless steel

* Fabricating components for industrial plant rooms and burner systems

* Reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings

* Working to WPS specifications during weld tests and production

* Supporting fabrication tasks including cutting and prep work

* Maintaining high standards of quality and compliance

What will you need?

* Strong experience as a MIG Welder in heavy fabrication

* Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings

* Experience welding box section and structural steel

* Time-served welder or equivalent practical experience

* Comfortable completing weld tests
