On behalf of our engineering client based in Rochdale, we are looking for 2 time-served mechanical fitters with previous engineering/mechanical experience to work within their team on a fixed term contract of 1 month+ to undertake machine building, including assembling components and sub-assemblies.

Hours of work:
Monday - Thursday: 07:30 - 16:30
Friday: 08:00 - 13:00

Rate

Duration:
Fixed term contract (may be extended for the right candidate).

Essential requirements of the role:

Be time served with the relevant qualifications
Have mechanical engineering experience
Be able to read engineering drawings
Be able to assemble machinery
Have experience in the use of measuring tools
Competent to use general workshop machinery and hand tools related to the role of mechanical fitter
Interpret work instructions and perform work to time and quality with a high attention to detail
Willing to work overtime when required
