Upholsterer

Upholsterer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess previous upholstery experience. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals to develop their expertise in upholstery while working within a skilled team. The successful applicant will be responsible for assisting with the repair, refurbishment, and creation of bespoke furniture pieces, ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency.

Duties

Assist with the upholstery process, including cutting, sewing, and fitting fabric or leather coverings onto furniture frames

Operate hand tools such as scissors, staplers, and sewing machines to complete upholstery tasks including deep buttoning

Assist in the assembly of furniture items, ensuring precise fitting and finishing

Maintain a clean and organised workspace to promote safety and productivity

Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards

Requirements

Proven experience or background in upholstery is required.

Proficiency with hand tools such as scissors, screwdrivers, staple guns, and sewing equipment

Experience with power tools used in upholstery tasks is advantageous

Basic sewing skills or familiarity with fabric handling are desirable

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

The hours of work are Days Monday-Friday  with plenty of overtime available if required
