Salary : Up to 24.00 per hour (depending on level of experience training and qualification)

We have an opportunity for a Senior Specialist Nurse to join their team of staff in the Urology department.
This is a bank role working on an as and when required basis you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.
Responsibilities- Deliver specialist nursing care and support to urology patients across inpatient outpatient and procedural settings.
- Undertake comprehensive assessment planning implementation and evaluation of individualised care.
- Act as a clinical leader within the urology nursing team promoting best practice and ensuring adherence to policies and clinical standards.
- Provide expert advice and training to nursing staff healthcare assistants and multidisciplinary colleagues.
- Work closely with urology consultants anaesthetists theatre teams radiology and outpatient services to ensure seamless patient care.
- Participate in the development of nurse-led services such as catheter management bladder scanning and continence review clinics.
- Registered Nurse (Adult) with current NMC registration.
- Significant post-registration experience in urology or related surgical specialty.
- Demonstrable clinical competence in urological nursing procedures (e.g. catheterisation bladder irrigation trial without catheter).
- Knowledge of urological conditions investigations and treatments.
- Excellent clinical assessment problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with patients and the MDT.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development.
