A Bed Every Night Worker (ABEN) / Housing Support Worker

Location: Rochdale, Greater Manchester
Hours: 36 hours per week
Salary: £16 - £17 per hour Umbrella
Contract: Temporary

We are looking for a compassionate and reliable A Bed Every Night Worker for our client in Rochdale. You will support individuals experiencing homelessness by providing safe accommodation placements and ongoing support to help them move towards stable housing. You will work closely with clients, partner agencies, and housing providers to ensure people have access to accommodation and support needs they have.

• Assess referrals and manage an allocated caseload of vulnerable clients with complex needs including substance misuse, homelessness, mental health, criminal justice or domestic abuse.
• Provide practical and emotional support to clients assessing needs and risks.
• Liaise with housing providers, support services, and partner agencies around the needs of individuals.

• Experience working with vulnerable adults (homelessness, housing, support work, social care).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage challenging situations calmly and professionally.
• Understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality.
