Night Casual Accommodation Worker

Salary: £26,403 - £28,142 (Grade
4) £13.69 per hour

Hours: Casual night shifts – each shift 10.5 hours (10pm - 8.30am); service staffed 24/7.

Are you passionate about supporting vulnerable people and making a real difference in your community? Rochdale Borough Council’s Strategic Housing currently have vacancies for Casual Accommodation Night Workers
. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality homelessness services, helping individuals access safe accommodation and the services they need to move on successfully.

Your role will include ensuring the environment is safe and welcoming, providing information and guidance to residents and colleagues, recording information accurately on various systems and in writing, and playing a key part in ensuring residents are safeguarded appropriately by sharing information with the wider team.

• Be approachable and have strong communication skills
• Have an awareness of the barriers faced by homeless people
• Carry out health & safety checks and report repairs
• Check IT systems for information and follow guidance/procedures
• Maintain accurate written records and liaise with partner agencies
• Promote safeguarding and challenge inappropriate behaviour
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
