Homelessness Prevention Officer needed in Rochdale

This is a temporary role and the rate is £16.62ph PAYE

The successful candidate will play a key role in preventing homelessness and supporting individuals and families to secure safe, sustainable housing solutions. They will manage a varied caseload, carry out thorough homelessness assessments, and develop effective Personalised Housing Plans tailored to each customer’s circumstances. They will work collaboratively with partners across housing, health, social care and the voluntary sector to achieve positive outcomes, while providing clear, compassionate and solution‑focused advice.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong knowledge of relevant housing legislation, excellent decision‑making skills, and the ability to build trusting relationships with people facing complex and often urgent housing challenges.
