What you will do

  • Manage a complex caseload involving children with disabilities, focusing on child in need, child protection, and looked after children processes.
  • Undertake statutory assessments, reviews, and care planning in line with the Children Act 1989, Children Act 2004, Care Act 2014, and Working Together to Safeguard Children guidance.
  • Lead on complex safeguarding investigations, court work, permanency planning, and risk management activities.
  • Provide professional consultation, mentoring, and practice guidance to Social Workers, ASYEs, and less experienced practitioners.

Requirements

  • Degree in Social Work or equivalent.
  • Registration with Social Work England (SWE).
  • Significant post-qualification experience within Children's Social Care.
